Abstract: This study aims to explore the effects of Project-Based Learning (PBL) in enhancing students' writing skills in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) environment, at the English Department of Larbi Tébessi University ,Tébessa .To answer the research questions, the study used a semi-structured questionnaire administered to 2nd-year LMD English students at Larbi Tébessi University and another semi-structured questionnaire administered to 22 teachers of written expression from the Department of Letters and English Language at Larbi Tébessi University and extends to teachers of written expression from Setif2 University and Blida 2 University. After analyzing the data quantitatively and qualitatively, the main findings clearly showed that PBL is regarded as an effective tool to improve student’s writing skills, along with their achievements, attitude, motivation, critical thinking, self-confidence, and active learning, as students investigate real-world issues in a collaborative environment. Furthermore, few challenges were also reported to provide sufficient information about the difficulties that teachers and students may encounter while using PBL. The study concluded that PBL could be an effective means of enhancing students’ writing skills.
