There is a significant global rise in the interest in learning the English language, extendingbeyondlinguisticcompetence to encompassits cultural aspects. Hence, thistreatiseaimsatexploring the impact of learning English as a foreignlanguage on the personalities of Master one EFL Language Sciences studentsatEchahid Cheikh Larbi TébessiUniversity. This exploratoryexplanatoryresearchseeks to explore whetherexposure to English culture leads to changes in the personalities of thesestudents, as well as to ascertaintheirpreference for either English culture or their native culture. To address the research questions and assumptions, a mono-methodapproachwasadopted, using quantitative data analysis technique. The research instruments employed in thisstudywere a personality test and a questionnaire, bothadministered to a samplecomprising 45 Master one studentsfrom the department of English. To furtherinvestigate the impact of English culture, an additionalsamplefrom the Economic Sciences departmentconsisting of 40 Master one studentswasincluded, whoonlyanswered the personality test. The findingsderivedfromthisstudyindicatethat English culture exerts a noticeable impact on the personalities of EFL students. Consequently, theselearnersexhibit a pronounced inclination towardfavoring English culture over their native culture. Based on the comprehensiveanalysis of the researchoutcomes, thisstudy proposes future recommendations for further exploration and understanding in thisfield.
