dc.description.abstract Women have been subjected to gender discrimination in literature for decades. They have often been marginalized, misrepresented, or even erased from narratives altogether. However, in modern literature, women have been pushing back against these long standing injustices and fighting for their place in literary canon. This abstract explores the ongoing struggle of women in literature and how modern writers are breaking down barriers to create more diverse and inclusive narratives. In modern literature, women have struggled against these limitations and have challenged traditional gender roles. Literature has become a powerful tool for women to voice their concerns and struggles against the patriarchal norms. The feminist movement has given rise to a new wave of feminist literature, which not only addresses the issues faced by women but also celebrates their empowerment and achievements. Through their writing, women have shown their strength, resilience, and determination to overcome gender discrimination. This research aims to explore the feminist and psychoanalytic discourse in modern literature and the various ways in which women authors have struggled to break free from stereotypes and traditional gender roles. It will analyze the different themes highlighted in feminist literature and how they reflect the struggles of women in different contexts. The research concludes by highlighting the importance of modern literature in promoting female empowerment and creating awareness about gender discrimination. en_US
