Abstract:
Composite materials are one of the most promising technological developments in the field of materials today. Composite material technology has witnessed extraordinary expansion due to the wonderful advantages these materials provide, making them modern and in de- mand in various industrial fields such as aviation, aerospace, automotive, shipbuilding, and even civil engineering.
Structures made of composite materials, especially layered panels, are subject to thermal loads that can significantly affect the behavior of these structures. Therefore, this work aims to study the effect of temperature on the stability of layered plates using the ABAQUS pro- gram, which operates based on finite elements. A comprehensive parametric study was pre- sented on the thermal buckling behavior of layered plates.
During this work, many mechanical properties were considered, such as material type, boundary conditions, layer division, length-to-width ratio and dimensions of the sheets
