Abstract: This study aims to explore the mechanisms of mutual social reward within socio-digital networks through an analytical study of a television series episode. Specifically, it seeks to address the following primary research question: How does the episode reflect the mechanisms of mutual social reward in socio-digital networks from the perspective of Skinner’s theory? In terms of the empirical framework, the analytical study employed a content analysis approach, supported by a semiological analysis based on Christian Metz’s approach to examine the episode. The study was conducted over a period extending from December 3, 2025, to May 20, 2026. The study yielded several key findings, most notably: • The rating system depicted in the episode is founded on the principles of B.F. Skinner’s theory of operant conditioning. Socially acceptable behaviors are reinforced through positive ratings, whereas undesirable behaviors are penalized with negative ratings and social exclusion. • The characters exhibit an artificial, performative behavior based on flattery and compliments to maintain an idealized digital image, which ensures their social acceptance and grants them access to various privileges. • Social relations within the socio-digital environment are governed by a utilitarian and transactional logic. Individuals offer compliments, support, and positive interactions with the expectation of receiving reciprocal rewards from others. • Socio-digital networks function as mechanisms for social control and peer surveillance. Individuals constantly monitor one another via digital ratings, thereby creating a form of "digital dictatorship" that dictates human behavior. • The digital environment portrayed in the episode is characterized by the features of visibility, transparency, and immediacy.otherالمكافأة الاجتماعية المتبادلة، الشبكات السوسيورقمية، التعزيز، العقاب، التفاعل الاجتماعي.
