Abstract The present study aimed to investigate the relationship between visual selective attention and writing skills among pupils with mild hearing impairment. The study adopted a descriptive correlational design and was conducted at the School for the Hearing Impaired in Bekkaria, Tebessa Province. The sample consisted of five fifth-grade primary school pupils, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using the Stroop Test of Visual Selective Attention (1935), and the Writing Skills Test developed by Attal (2014). The study also sought to determine the levels of visual selective attention and writing skills among the participants, as well as the nature of the relationship between these two variables. The results revealed a high positive Pearson correlation coefficient (r = 0.76); between visual selective attention and writing skills. However, the relationship was not statistically significant at the (0.05) level of significance. Therefore, the results indicate that no statistically significant relationship exists between visual selective attention and writing skills among pupils with mild hearing impairment.
