    Lavicidal activity of Citrullus Colocynthus hydro- ethanolic extract against mosquito species: Morphometric and biochemical alterations

    The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of the hydro-etnanolic extract of citrullus colocynthis on a species of mosquito Cs longiareolata, the most widespread in the region of Tébessa region. Several aspects were studied: A morphometric aspect that is represented by the weight and body volume of newly exuviated Culiseta longiareolata fourth instar L4 larvae. Analysis of the data shows that the hydro-etnanolic extract of citrullus colocynthis affects these parameters. A biochemical aspect was determined by measuring metabolic reserves in newly exuviated fourth instar larvae show that these are relatively disturbed by the hydro-etnanolic extract of citrullus colocynthis.
